Frequently asked questions.

FAQS

  • Avoid wearing waterproof mascara or mascara 24 hours before your appointment.

Arrive with freshly washed face and lashes. Any left over eye makeup will negatively affect your retention. We have cleanser if needed.

If possible, avoid any under eye makeup or moisturizers around or under the eye. It can make applying tape and under eye pads more difficult.

Avoid consuming caffeine at least 1 hour before your appointment. Caffeine consumption can cause eyelids to flutter making it very difficult to apply the extensions.

Use the restroom. You will be laying down for about 2-3 hours.

  • We recommend our clients prebook their appointments for two weeks post appointment.

But if you go between 1-3 weeks between appointments, book a lash fill.

If you go 4 weeks or more between appointments, we require our clients to book a full set in order for us to allocate the correct amount of time for the appointment.

  • Yes and no! You just want to ensure anything going on or around your eyes is oil free. This is because oils break down the bond of the adhesive and will cause poor retention.

But we do not recommend wearing mascara with your lash extensions because this can also cause poor retention.

  • Not all lash extension artists and studios are created equal. But yes, at Lash & Brow Savy, we use high quality products and detailed application methods to make sure you are getting the safest extensions possible.

Sometimes clients get worried if they see their natural eyelash attached to their extension when it falls out. But this is totally normal!

When your natural eyelash grows and eventually falls out, your extension will fall off with it and a new hair will grow in. This is why we recommend that you come in for a fill every two-three weeks. Then we will apply new extensions to the new natural eyelashes that have grown in.

  • We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before the beginning of your appointment or you may be charged a cancellation fee of 50% the price of your scheduled appointment. • It is recommended that you have your lash extensions from a previous studio or ours removed at the studio. The adhesive has a very strong bond, it requires special remover to remove the eyelash extensions safely.

  • The short answer is no. Your eyelashes need a separate cleanser from your regular face wash just as your hair and body need separate cleansers.

Do not use cleansers, makeup removers, moisturizers, or eye creams that contain oil or glycols on or around your eyes, as these will compromise the bonding agent used to adhere your eyelashes.

So you will need a face wash without those ingredients and then a separate lash cleanser. We sell both a foam and gel cleanser option to wash your lashes properly.

  • The answer is yes, if you find yourself as someone that sweats a lot, we recommend using our Borboleta Lash Wash immediately after your workout.

We suggest washing your lashes daily with one of our cleaners sold in studio, avoid mascara, eliminate all oil based face products, sleep on your back or side, and brush them twice daily.
